Here's my view on this card: it never should have hit $600 last year.
It should have settled around $450 in 2018 and instead people got overzealous and a few people of means bought the card at $500+ and the card settled a bit higher last year thereby eliminating potential even profit over the course of 2019. Won't say what I think it'll do this year (2019) but I think that it has some potential to move up throughout the year depending on how many Mint copies appear on the market. Remember that the higher the price goes, the more Mint PSA 10 copies will appear to drive that price back down.

Thats what I said originally when i saw some sell for 600. Way too overpriced but as lob becomes more out of reach, people will turn to mrd as its the next best thing. That'll increase demand for the card but for now 450-500 is where its at.

I wonder if people pushed away by LOB prices will turn to MRD as a viable option... I know at least a few people that are collecting multiples of MRD cards. Those people aren't turning away from LOB though. Prices on MRD cards have increase with prices of LOB though. Even the supers are closing at $75 each for better supers (Kuriboh, GG pieces, Harpie, etc). Others like Garnecia, which are lower tier supers are even as high as $50 or $60.

The better supers are selling for 100+ easy these days id day. Especially ones like suijin and kuriboh. Some of the ultras are super undervalued too. Interesting times ahead. I still think mrl is the set to watch.

I rather disagree. I could see the card hitting $600+ in 2019. I definitely feel that MRD singles are going to spike even higher in 2019, as the set was absolutely loaded from supers upto secrets in terms of nostalgic value. To be honest, it's the deepest set in the game in terms of nostalgic (not mass reprinted) foils, as compared to LOB (See SDJ Red Eyes and mass amounts of blue eyes options, including DDS and tin promos). Of course LOB is king, but MRD will be creeping up slowly in my opinion. When MRD sealed product is out of range (which is definitely is getting to that point if not there already) then we should see spikes in sets released afterwards. Think of Pokemon, where base set was king, and Fossil and Jungle followed suit. On a side-note, I equate E-Series Pokemon to GX Yugioh in terms of QTY produced and niche demand, not to mention major rarity chase cards in the form of great ultimate rares that were incredibly tough to pull.

I hope you’re right about the waterfall effect of set to set spikes. I know for MRD I’ve been fairly surprised at how expensive even the raw NM-M supers are going for. MRL is severely lagging behind and PSV/LON cant hold a candle to LOB and MRD. Are there any resources that show price movements similar to mtggoldfish? Would be cool if someone could create a site to tap into ebays API and scrape daily sold instances of PSA 9s and 10s to log them over time.

PSA has one for use in their registry set section. It tells you how cards have performed over a period of a year or so. It only lists prices but it's not hard to get a feel for how cards are performing in general.

PSA tracks cards sold on eBay? Yes they do. They have a system that automatically updates. But you have to be a member. So you have to pay to see it. I don't know of another way to do it. It has uses in building registry sets and only pulls sales related to PSA cards. So it won't have raw cards. It was designed for people using the registry set system to track the value of either missing or acquired cards.

I bought/traded for this card in November with $300 cash, and a $200 trade and was pretty happy with that. That said, the damn thing was sent to the Netherlands, and USPS has been ping ponging it across the Atlantic ever since. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? Post NL says they can't do anything, and USPS says the same. It's been sent back and forth 3 damn times so far.

You just have to keep track of it. Was it insured?

I just don't want to pull the trigger and file a claim, and then be out the $200 in trade value, because there's no way in hell he sends it back to me if I do that. At least for now if it shows up he should send it to me as soon as he gets it back. Honestly have no clue what the heck to do, so any suggestions are appreciated (Sorry for the hikjack Ghezzi).
