Hello all! New to the yugioh collecting/investing side of the game. Big fan of Tim’s and Ghezzi’s content on youtube. I’ve known about the corrected art Dark paladin and how rare it is to find now a days in really any condition. I’m far more verse in Pokémon cards, so my question is is there a type or a card in Pokémon that you could compare it to, in terms of rareness/scarceness? It’s a big value card right now, but I’m interested in your guys thoughts on it. From how rare it is, to it’s price soeculation. Just an awesome piece of history and I’d like to know it all. Thanks!

I honestly think with how rare it is, that it'll go and stay higher than most high end Pokemon stuff like the gold stars, Skyridge cards, and pretty well all the 1st ed base stuff outside of Charizard. You had to pull the card, then send it in to them, and hope that the one they sent wasn't damaged when they sent it; so there weren't a lot of them made to begin with. It's also a super awesome artwork on a popular card in a popular set, so there's that to consider as well, but that's just my 2 cents.

I tend to agree with you because it is techinically not a pullable card. You can still open magicians force packs but you can’t send in anymore. Limited release cards are always super sought after and hold value well. I’m going to save all my sales money and this will be my next purchase. Did PSA only start recording the alternate art recently? Cause there is only 1 pop 9 in the database

What is the history of this card? Where did it come from? If you bothered reading what other people wrote in the thread, you would know! How insane is that. TLDR: The normal cards artwork wasn't put into 1st edition MFC packs. Instead, another artwork version was put in. So back then, if you wanted one, you had to pull a 1st edition Dark Paladin from Magicians Force 1st Edition, send it in via mail to Konami, and they would send you back the "corrected" version. This was a service for a few years I believe but not many people bothered back then.

None of the dealers were talking about it and I’m sure my situation was pretty common. Makes you wonder how many actually exist out there.
